Massachusetts
In Massachusetts, all aspects of the sex trade —whether selling sex, buying sex, promoting it, or profiting from it—are completely illegal. Mass. law treats both buying and selling sex the same, meaning a person can be charged with the same crime whether they're purchasing or providing sexual services (engaging in sexual conduct for a fee). However, there have been efforts to pass partial decriminalization (Survivor Model) laws in Massachusetts in recent years.
