Florida
In Florida, all aspects of the sex trade—whether selling sex, buying sex, promoting it, or profiting from it—are completely illegal. The law treats both buying and selling sex the same, meaning a person can be charged with the same crime whether they're purchasing or providing sexual services. In 2023, Governor DeSantis signed Senate Bill (SB) 7064, Human Trafficking, which supports victims of human trafficking and strengthens penalties for traffickers including establishing a civil action for victims of human trafficking against traffickers and providing that victims can recover damages and attorney’s fees from adult entertainment establishments. Florida allows trafficking survivors to vacate convictions for non-violent offenses committed during the course of their trafficking.
