Dr. Stacy Reed-Barnes, PsyD, is the CEO, Founder, and Principal Consultant of Stacy’s Joy Consulting LLC. With over two decades of international experience, she empowers individuals impacted by human trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation, domestic violence, mental health challenges, incarceration, and reentry. A survivor leader, advocate, and mentor, Dr. Reed-Barnes is deeply committed to guiding others on their healing journeys. Her own lived experience fuels her passion for transformation and empowerment, shaping her work as a thought leader in trauma-informed care and systemic change.
Dr. Reed-Barnes serves as a Lead Research Assistant for the Human Trafficking Community Research Hub at William James College and is a member of the Massachusetts Governor’s Council to address Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, and Human Trafficking.
A published author, she shares her journey through her books, Stacy’s Joy… A Woman Moving Forward: The Autobiography and Ode to Girls Like Me, using her writing to inspire healing and advocacy. She is also a 2024 CSG Neighbor-to-Neighbor Grant recipient and a Boston Women’s Fund Liberation Leaders Award winner.
Above all, Dr. Reed-Barnes believes in the power of resilience, community, and hope. She is dedicated to creating spaces where survivors feel seen, heard, and empowered to reclaim their lives. Her mission is to remind others that healing is possible and that no one has to walk their journey alone.
