Ali Bauman

Ali Bauman is a New York Emmy and Edward R. Murrow Award-winning journalist who has been a general assignment reporter for CBS New York since 2016. Since November 2024, Bauman is also the northeast correspondent for CBS Saturday Mornings and the Saturday edition of the CBS Evening News.

Ali has covered a dynamic range of stories at CBS, including the COVID-19 pandemic, George Floyd protests, the Luigi Mangione manhunt, as well as the Gilgo Beach murder cases and sex trafficking arrest of the former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO.

Prior to joining CBS New York, Bauman was a multiskilled journalist for News 12 the Bronx and News 12 Brooklyn.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with dual majors in Broadcast & Digital Journalism and Political Science.
