Sarah Johnston serves as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at The Jensen Project. Sarah is a social worker and advocate, and has worked in the anti-trafficking field since 2015. Sarah has a background in direct service provision and child welfare, which provides the unique experience to address the anti-trafficking field through the lens of strategic system change and program development.
Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, International Relations and Human Rights from the University of California, Davis, and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Southern California, Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work.
As the Director of Strategic Initiatives, Sarah leads the Jensen Project’s work on policy change and implementation, linking tactical projects to our funded partners and working to broadly move the anti-trafficking field and The Jensen Project forward through innovation and operational support. In addition, Sarah oversees a portfolio of grantees focused on impacting policy change and implementation within the anti-trafficking space.
